Samsung is teasing a new Batman-centric Galaxy S7, but it isn't tieing into their recent Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

Instead, the new custom phone is being released as a promotional effort for their DC fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us (via AndroidandMe). The new phone was teased on Samsung's Twitter Account, with a Batman symbol over a blank phone with the words "coming soon" written across it. The caption to the post says: "Coming soon: A new device for the battle against the Gods Among Us. @InjusticeGame @WB_Games @DCComics."

Samsung previously released a themed Galaxy phone in conjunction with Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron, which came with an Arc Reactor like charging station and an Iron Man internal theme, complete with keypad skins and wallpapers to go with the red and gold colored outer shell.

It seems odd that it would promote Injustice: Gods Among Us, though, as the game has been out on just about every platform, including Android, since 2013. The app has been continually updated, though, so it could coincide with some new content, but still, it seems like a missed opportunity to further push Batman V Superman.

Of course, they could announce Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 at E3, and then it would all make sense. Regardless, a Batman themed phone on its own is still pretty sweet, especially if it comes with a Bat Signal or Batmobile-themed charging station. If they threw in an "I'm Batman" ringtone for every Batman actor thus far, I think I'd be sold.
