Supergirl has made a serious comeback after moving to The CW for season 2. With the show now under the same umbrella as Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, the formula has improved, and the DC Comics connections are much stronger. Case in point: the latest Supergirl promo for the next episode, “Luthors” features none of other than Lex Luthor, his mother Lillian (Brenda Strong), and sister Lena (Katie McGrath). With the Luthor family, will come an iconic piece of Superman/Lex Luthor mythos: Lex Luthor’s war suit!

As you can see in the promo above, Lex Luthor’s war suit is in holding, somewhere in weapons/research depot owned by Lillian and/or Lena Luthor. Check out a better shot of it below:
No telling if one of the Luthor ladies will don the suit in order to do battle with Supergirl (seeing Lena’s arc end that way would be fun), or if the Luthor war suit is simply a fun Easter egg for DC Comics fans to enjoy. Of course, this being the “Flarrowverse,” it could always resurface later, to wreak havoc in another show! They do love to keep us guessing!
