NBC announced that Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot will be hosting on October 7 alongside musical guest Sam Smith. This will be Gadot’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live, though it will be Smith’s second headlining appearance (via Variety). Gadot is coming off of the critical and commercial blockbuster Wonder Woman, which cruised to just over $800 million at the box office worldwide.

NBC also announced that The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani will host on the October 14th episode alongside Pink as the musical guest. Both episodes follow the season premiere that features Blade Runner’s Ryan Gosling alongside Jay Z.

Gadot has a reputation for breaking on set, at least according to co-star Chris Pine. Gadot revealed recently that he nicknamed her Giggles Gadot because of it, so it should make for an entertaining stint in front of a live audience. Gadot has shown she’s adept at comedic skits, including her memorable appearances on Conan O’Brien, and soon fans will get to see that take the iconic NBC stage.

As for SNL, the NBC staple had one huge season last year, in part due to some of its more biting commentary on the election and current administration. Fans can probably expect more appearances by Melissa McCarthy and Alec Baldwin, the latter of which took home an Emmy for his portrayal of President Trump.

Wonder Woman is available on digital, Blu-ray, and DVD now. The anticipated sequel will again have Patty Jenkins in the director’s chair with Gadot reprising her role, but no release date has been announced yet.
