Since 1934, DC has giving us some of the best villains in comic book history.

Over the years, our superheroes have faced many lethal threats while battling it out to ultimately save the entire world from utter despair and destruction, giving us amazing story arcs and characters.

However, they’ve also given us some of the worst and completely pointless villains as well, that we can continue to laugh at forever.

We often wonder what exactly went through the creator’s heads when they developed these said villains. Were they out of ideas or were they just looking around the office choosing random tangible objects?

If that’s the case, be on the look-out for Stapler Man, Spreadsheet Girl, and maybe even Coffee Maker Boy.

Now, let’s learn about the 5 most pointless DC villains…

The Eraser

Watch out or he’ll rub you out!

The Eraser is clearly a No. 2 pencil with some anger issues and a rubber-topped head…you know for erasing.

Lenny Fiasco was a college classmate of Bruce Wayneย and was continually bullied by his fellow students because he was constantly making stupid mistakes in school. Mostly seen with an eraser in his hand, Lenny tried hard to make corrections.

Instead, he turned to a life of crime and charged small-time criminals a percentage to erase evidence and clues, leaving law enforcement baffled.

His shoes, that looked like pencil tips, were made of sharp blades. His special helmet was made with some special chemical that removed everything, including footprints and fingerprints.

Too bad he couldn’t erase himself when Batman showed up to catch him.

Condiment King

Condiment King

Oh no, is that mustard he’s aiming at us?

Usually we use condiments on our food, but comedian Barry Standler used them as weapons when he strapped two tanks full of ketchup and mustard to his back.

Wearing a baby blue suit and tighty-wighties he took to the streets as Condiment King and knocked off a few diners, squirting around his tasty weapons.

As you can guess, his methods weren’t very effective when Batman showed up to stop him.

Maybe he should have used hot sauce instead…at least that burns when it gets in your eyes.

Kite Man

ย On a still day, he was useless!

Kite Man, who had a large Kite attached to his back relied on gusts of wind to fly around and commit crimes.ย

He really loved kites and often used them as weapons by throwing them towards innocent people or creating a sort of kite storm by flying multiple kites at once to overwhelm his enemies.

His only downfall was that he couldn’t fly when the air was still and there weren’t any wind gusts for him to glide on.ย

We imagine Kite Man face planted many times as he stood on top of big hills or tall mountains trying to catch a breeze.

Ironically, Batman took him down with…more kites.

Polka Dot Man

ย My colorful dots will destroy you!

Polka Dot Man actually got a few things right, but more things wrong.

His suit was covered in rainbow-colored polka dots, making him stick out like a sore thumb.ย

However, the dots did serve a useful purpose – each time he ripped one off it transformed into a bizzare weapon…like a buzzsaw when Batman tried to stop him at Spot Service Cleaning Company.

Polka Dot Man was foiled when Batman spotted that his crimes were occurring in a connect-the-dots pattern around Gotham. He simply waited for the last dot in the puzzle before taking him down.

Maybe if he hired The Eraser to make his criminal dots disappear he wouldn’t have been caught.

Calendar Man

Calendar Man 0018

ย My cape is made of months!

Calendar Man isย known for committing crimes that correspond with holidays and significant dates.ย

Even better, he changes his costume to show the exact date he will commit his next crime, which often had a theme that correlated with the moon cycle, names of the day, purpose of days, and seasonal weather.

He once transformed into Flower Man with petals around his face and a cape made of leaves and appeared at the Gotham City Spring Garden show.ย

Batman eventually took him down in what was called “the fifth season” more commonly known asย India’s Monsoon Season when Calendar Man showed up in Gotham asย Maharajah the Magician.

He was rebooted quite a few times, most famously for The Long Halloween…because it’s a holiday.

We an only hope that there are more villains like these to come in the future of DC comic books.
