A poster on Reddit has posted a list of actresses the studio might be eyeing for the part. He came upon this information after a friend of his was contacted by the studio to work up some concept art for the project, supposedly to help them make a casting decision that can be announced at San Diego Comic-Con.
He was asked to develop concept art for the following actresses, which include Elle Fanning (Neon Demon/Live By Night), Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel), Bella Throne (Shake It Up!), Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe), Emma Roberts (Scream Queens), Haley Lu Richardson (Split/Edge Of Seventeen), and Naomi Scott (Power Rangers).
The source also said that Katherine Langford is the current front runner, but said Fanning, Levy, and Qualley are also towards the front of the line.

It certainly is an interesting list, with more than a few credible candidates. Whedon likes to cast relative unknowns or up and comers in lead roles, but Fanning would have an in as she’s previously worked with the studio and the DCEU’s current Batman Ben Affleck.
Fans will just have to wait and see if any of these end up panning out.
Next up for the DCEU is Justice League, which currently has a 4.16 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings. The full synopsis can be found below.
