Conroy is, of course, best known for being the voice of Batman in several animated series, such as the popular Batman: The Animated Series, as well as several animated movies and the Arkham Knight video game series.

This isn’t Rausch’s first comic book movie role. She is also voicing the role of Wasp in Disney XD’s Ant-Man animated shorts.

“I love that Harley is a badass and, beyond that, that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal,” Rausch told Empire. “She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It’s a dream role.”

“I knew Harley had a higher pitched tone, and a bit of a New York accent โ€” and I come from a New Jersey family where everyone could be former gun molls,” she continued. “So I wanted to give a nod to my background without being as shrill. In all honesty, I used to speak exactly like that โ€” my acting school professors really worked the accent out of me. So it was fun to find those tones and accent again.”

The film itself is being executive produced by Bruce Timm is based on an original story that will feature Batman, Nightwing and Harley Quinn teaming-up to take on Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue/Plant-Master.

Furthermore, Empire reports that Loren Lester will voice Nightwing/Dick Grayson once again; Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) voices Poison Ivy; and John DiMaggio (Ben 10) is voicing Swamp Thing. Eric Bauza, Rob Paulsen, Robin Atkin Downes, Mindy Sterling, and Trevor Devall round out the voice-cast.
