Batman: The Killing Joke Gets A Release Date

Soon fans will get to relive one of Alan Moore’s classic DC tales when Batman: The Killing Joke releases later this year.

Now we have an exact release date courtesy of Amazon. The Blu-ray and DVD are already up for pre-order, and will release on August 2nd. The much-anticipated retelling did manage to secure an R-rating, which fits its more adult storyline.

The original graphic novel by Moore was a one-shot and viewed as a possible origin of the character. Still, in many fans minds, The Killing Joke is the ultimate Joker story and is still one of the most popular Batman books to date.
