Ever since the DCEU was formed, fans looked to Hunnam as the dream actor to portray Oliver Queen, AKA Green Arrow. Stephen Amell has the character locked down on TV, but Hunnam was the movie star that could bring the hero to life alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.

His performance as Jax Teller in Sons of Anarchy helped show fans what he was all about, and that he could handle the physical role. And, as many fans will point out, Hunnam just looks exactly like Oliver Queen.

Until this week, the actor has been very stern about the fact that he doesn’t want to portray a superhero. However, in an interview with Omeleteve, Hunnam had a much different attitude.

The interviewer brought up the Green Arrow rumors, and Hunnam finally asked what all the fuss was about. He wanted to know why everyone always brought it up. It was explained that he had a very similar demeanor to the character, and they looked exactly alike. The interviewer went on to say that many fans would love to see him in the role.

Without hesitating, Hunnam looked at the camera and said, “Well then, c’mon DC, what’s up?! Gimme a call, I’m here!”

That may not go very far in terms of getting him the role, but Hunnam now seems open to the possibility. Could this be the motivation DC was waiting for?
