Writer and creator Frank Miller is known for two especially hallowed takes on Batman lore, but arguably his most famous work is The Dark Knight Returns.

Statue and collectible creators Prime 1 Studio have taken Millers fresh out of retirement Batman and lovingly recreated him in statue form, though I wouldn’t describe the situation he finds himself in as loving.

Batman’s imposing figure is slightly hunched over, and his costume has a variety of battle damage across it. Even in his weary state, Batman stands tall atop a stone base with two sides. One side shows the Miller style Bat Symbol while the other side features the mutant leader in defeat.

The statue itself is massive, standing at 83 centimeters high (or 32 inches tall), and features a fantastic likeness to the original comic. The statue ships in two editions, with the regular version coming with a switchable angry portrait as well as a damaged angry portrait. It also comes with a swappable right hand holding a sniper rifle and one with a relaxed palm. He has a second left fist and a set of hands that hold a rope attached to a Batarang.

The exclusive version features one additional portrait, this one being a calmer expression, and another left hand that holds multiple Batarangs. The exclusive edition is limited to 800, and the regular to 1500, but both retail for the same price at $969 dollars. As of now, there is no word on release date or shipping schedule, but you can view more photos fo the impressive statue in the gallery.
