The CW has provided ComicBook.com with the first official look at the key art for season 3 of iZombie, set to debut in April on the network.

Last night, one of the series actors tweeted, then deleted the image, a full version of which you can see in the attached image gallery (and which of course has been making the rounds with the show’s hardcore fans since).

The art, which teases the idea of Liv Moore starting a zombie revolution, is a riff on Jim Fitzpatrick’s famous portrait of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara, which was in turn based on on Alberto Kordo’s “Guerrillero Heroico” photo. The Fitzpatrick piece is one of the most famous pieces of popular art of the last 75 years, and both it and dozens of parodies and homages to it have adorned posters, merchandise, and more for decades.

The caption, “Zombies unite,” seems to imply that Liv will be aligning with Filmoor Graves, the company who appeared in the season 2 finale and presented themselves as essentially a group that will advocate on behalf of zombies.

A military contractor with brutal methods, though, doesn’t seem like Liv’s style — and Guevara himself famously led a guerilla movement that split with revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, so maybe that is what the image alludes to?

Here’s the official season 3 synopsis, per Screen Crush:

In the third season, Liv has discovered there are more zombies living in Seattle than she previously believed. In fact, there is a private military contractor employing a small zombie army, and that army is preparing for the day humans learn of their existence. Major finds a job and acceptance in this army.

Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a zombie family that may just set off an all-out zombie-human war. Ravi’s former boss at the Center for Disease Control shows up in Seattle to investigate the Max Rager massacre. Blaine finds living as a human with no memory of his evil past is more blessing than curse. Peyton pulls at a thread in one of her cases that may lead to the villain that’s pulling all the strings.

This season, Liv will eat the brains and take on the traits of a dominatrix, a JACKASS-style stunt man, an office gossip, a pre-school teacher, a conspiracy theorist, a dungeon master, and many more.
