Gabourey Sidibe, best known for her roles in Precious and Empire, would like to join the Hollywood masses currently appearing in superhero films — maybe as Superman or Batman?

During a brief video interview with Variety, the actress toyed with the idea of playing Amanda Waller or Superman, beforelanding on the role of Batman — one she would have to wrestle away from Ben Affleck at present, but that seems a minor technicality.
“Batman doesn’t have any superpowers,” Sidibe said, in what is not the first but is probably the funniest reaction by a celebrity tired of being asked about appearing in a superhero flick. “He’s not an alien, he’s a straight up human who happens to be rich. He’s like Super Privileged Man. He’s like White Privilege Man. But he’s got all these tools, and a super dark sense of being. He’s such a creep, and I feel I’m Batman because I’m a creep.”
She had said that Waller, who is played by Viola Davis in the DC Extended Universe and Cynthia Addai-Robinson on The CW, is “a lawyer but she can clearly stretch herself,” and that she would like to play Superman so that she could fly.
It is difficult to tell from this interview whether ot not Sidibe would actually be interested in a superhero movie role if it were offered to her, although the fact that she readily identifies Amanda Waller seems to put her filmly in the “interested in this stuff” camp.
