While getting a classic comic graded is a boon, nothing can top getting the actual Superman to give it his seal of approval.

That’s what happened behind the scenes during production for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Cavill can be seen posing alongside a lovely copy of Action Comics #1, graded at a 9.0. Cavill is in full Superman costume and seems pretty stoked to be holding such a valued issue. Not many can say they’ve held a copy of Action Comics #1, let alone with the real deal Superman posing next to it.

The picture was posted with the caption, “Henry Cavill, holding Action Comics #1 ( Superman’s First Appearance) Behind the scenes of #BatmanvSuperman.”

Speaking of Henry Cavill, he hurt his knee before filming on Justice League began. That started a month-long rehab process, and while much of the hard work was to get back to 100%, there was an extra benefit to it. Check out what Cavill had to say on Instagram about it:

“Since I came off the ol knee injury I’ve been steadily increasing my training work load. I know it’s irritating when people say this but it genuinely does feel so good to be back in it. I’m not destroying myself every day. Just working towards improvement by pushing hard enough to illicit change. Nothing funny to post here, it’s deadly serious because I’ve got to make sure that I’m bigger than Green Lantern….Wait whaaat?”

Cavill loves to tease the fans, and a Green Lantern call out certainly qualifies. Whether it turns out to be true is another story, but fans won’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
