Kino Scialabba, a conceptual artist that has previously worked on The Avengers and Game of Thrones, has shared concept art he created for the first season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The artwork features designs for The Leviathan, Vandal Savage's gigantic and too-technologically-advanced humanoid robot from 2166; Atom-bots, the futuristic (2147) law enforcement robots based on Ray Palmer's Atom suit designs; and The Vanishing Point, a base of operations for The Time Masters that's located outside of time.

How did you approach The Leviathan design?

Kino Scialabba: I think they were expecting a metallic robot, so i wanted to surprise them with some type of living light energy — like a man-made angel.

What can you tell us about the Atom-bot design?

Kino Scialabba: They were supposed to look like Atom technology, so i used his suit as a design reference. Then they said, "Now make one from the future," so I designed the Leviathan.

And The Vanishing Point concept art?

Kino Scialabba: DC and the networks wanted several designs of this from different vantage points. I designed this with an an M.C. Escher-type approach, where the whole universe comes together, so no up or down, like a star emanating from the center.

Can tell us about your graphic novel, ME551AH?

Kino Scialabba: This is a story takes place in Prahs, an alien world divided by a religious cold war until the arrival of a visitor crash-lands from the stars. So, they Anoint him their Savior. But little do they know, the visitor is an astronaut from Earth with a mysterious mission and just wants to get back home to his wife.
