Jax, who is working for Thawne, comes into the room. He explains that the program he is working on needs another test trial. Jax leaves, and Merlyn asks Thawne why he put all of the Legends within this new reality. Thawne says it’s poetic justice, and asks why Merlyn is so unhappy even in this new reality.
Mick and Snart rob a bank. They are approached by police, but they recognize Snart and let them run free. Snart gets a message from Thawne summoning the pair to STAR Labs, and they head there.
Rip is in the Waverider, making cakes. He and Gideon discuss the fact that the Legends are trapped within the Legion’s reality. Gideon suggests rescuing them, and Rip says that the Legion are too powerful to do so.
In another Legion of Doom fortress, Jax approaches Stein, who is a researcher in Thawne’s project. Stein asks if he can get the day off for his daughter’s birthday, but Jax says no. Stein runs into Ray, who is a STAR Labs janitor.
Thawne talks on the phone with the reality’s president, Donald Trump. He ends the phone call, and finds Snart and Mick waiting impatiently. Thawne asks for them to keep an eye on Merlyn for him, since he’s being difficult.
Nate runs into Thawne’s office, despite being chased by bodyguards. He explains to Thawne that reality has changed, and that Nate has been keeping track of the differences in reality and calling them ‘scars.’ He asks Thawne for help, but instead Thawne asks Mick and Snart to take Nate outside and kill him.
Later that night, Snart and Mick escort Nate on a bridge. Nate questions whether or not his conspiracy theories are right. Snart is about to kill Nate, but Mick stops him and asks why this new reality isn’t fullproof. The two fight, and Mick knocks him unconscious. Nate asks why Mick saved his life, and Mick says it’s because he’s an idiot.
The pair escape, as Mick explains to Nate that the Legion changed reality. Mick declares that he’s not part of the Legion, he just made a bad mistake.
Mick and Nate find Ray in his apartment, playing a video game version of the Invasion! crossover. Ray wonders why they came to see him, and reveals that he was questioning this reality as well. He reveals pieces of technology that he built, including a ray gun that fixes scars in reality. Mick takes the gun and points it at Nate, and the gun works perfectly.
Darhk, Snart, and Merlyn discuss Mick having second thoughts. Darhk worries that Mick is going to try to unite the Legends. Darhk calls in Sara and Amaya, and asks them to search for Mick. Snart reveals that he put a GPS in Mick’s head to help track him.
Mick shoots Ray with the reality gun and turns him back to normal. Sara and Amaya come in and prepare to fight the trio.
Sara and Amaya fight the group. Nate tries to help them remember the old reality, but Sara and Amaya don’t care and continue to fight them anyway. Amaya escapes, and Sara gets hit with the reality gun and asks the team to catch her up to speed. Sara is still upset that Mick betrayed the team, but they realize they need to hide from the Legion.
The four go to Nate’s mom’s house to come up with a plan. Sara suggests that she use her cover of working for Darhk to get Amaya back, while Mick and Nate wonder how to get Stein and Jax back. Ray wonders how Rip could be tortured by Jax and Stein right now.

Mick approaches Snart, suggesting that the pair take over the city for themselves.
Snart and Mick find Darhk and Merlyn, and tell them that Thawne is trying to destroy the Spear. The Legion suggests going in to grab the Spear while the Legends are fighting off Thawne.
Jax finds Stein still working on the reactor. Jax realizes that Stein has already turned the reactor on, and tries to zap Stein with the reality gun. Stein swats it aside, breaking it apart. Jax calls the rest of the team in for help.
Stein presses the silent alarm, just as the team walks in. Thawne speeds in with the Spear in hand, and is about to drop it in the reactor. Mick shoots Thawne with his gun, knocking the Spear out of his hand. Merlyn, Darhk, and Snart join him. Snart shoots Thawne with his cold gun, rendering him unconscious in the corner of the room.
The Legends and the Legion fight over the Spear. Nate faces off against Eobard and Darhk. Sara faces off against Merlyn. The Spear ultimately ends up in Mick’s hands, and both teams try to convince him to do their bidding.
Amaya and Snart both try to convince Mick what to do. He gives the Spear to Amaya and asks her to undo this reality. She starts to do so, before Snart freezes her completely in ice, killing her.
Snart gives the Spear back to Thawne, who destroys it in the reactor.
Darhk and Merlyn threaten to kill Thawne, and Sara suggests the Legends join in. Thawne says that they will be outnumbered anyway, and allows them to all walk away, now they’re stuck in Thawne’s reality.
The Legends return to Nate’s mom’s house, where Mick breaks a table in frustration. Sara suggests that the Legends go back to 1916 and stop the Legion from getting the Spear in the first place. Nate and Ray suggest not to, because time will fold in on itselff, and because they don’t know where Rip is.
Rip puts the finishing touches on the Waverider, and uses it to put out a distress signal. It turns out that the Waverider is actually a miniaturized version on Thawne’s desk.
