Batman Returns! To television! Sort of! Adam West is coming back to NBC’s Powerless, and this time he’s not just lending his voice.

West portrayed the Caped Crusader in the classic Batman ’66 television series, ZAP! POW! and BANG!ing his way through his rogues and their countless goons. Now he’ll be portraying a new character on Powerless in an upcoming episode.

West previously narrated a commercial for Wayne Securities on the show, the company where the characters work. But now he’ll be returning to the series in a larger capacity in a character that will have to deliver some bad news to the cast.

In the show, some mayhem and destruction in Gotham City will force parent company Wayne Industries to make hard cuts for the future of the company. And that’s when chairman of Wayne Industries Dean West will come to town to deliver some bad news to their subsidiary in Charm City.

No word yet on which episode West will appear in, but it should be coming up pretty soon.

Meanwhile, Van (Alan Tudyk) takes advantage of Ron’s (Ron Funches) good nature and has him assemble a toy in hopes of preoccupying his new girlfriend’s child. Christina Kirk also stars. Jennie Pierson recurs.

Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Len Goldstein, Marc Buckland and Dean Lorey are executive producers of Powerless. Buckland served as the director of the pilot. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from DC.
