Wonder Woman was the most successful DCEU film yet, breaking box office records and winning over audiences and critics alike. Now the folks at Screen Junkies has given the film the much-requested Honest Trailer treatment.

The latest from the online series hit YouTube today and manages to hit the perfect balance of acknowledging what makes the film work while pointing out the little things that didn’t quite hit the mark all while taking every opportunity to lampoon the rest of the DCEU films. In fact, the opening narration pulls no punches regarding the more male side of the DCEU.

“From the studio known for confusing length with depth, complexity with intelligence, and self-absorbed downers with heroism, the DCEU pulls off its biggest success by … not doing those things,” the narrator says. You can watch the trailer above.

Like pretty much every Honest Trailer before it, the Wonder Woman installment wraps up a sharp and accurate critique in humor. The biggest issue the trailer highlights is that Diana is portrayed in Wonder Woman as a little too naive about the ways of Man’s World — giving the specific example of Diana seeming to not understand the meaning of marriage when, in truth, she speaks multiple languages and should have an idea of the concept. There’s also mention of how the otherwise serious film has some weird, campy weakness when it comes to the movie’s villains. A highlight of the trailer is when it refers to Dr. Poison/Dr. Maru as “The Phantom of the Opera.”

But for all of humor and critique of the small details, the Wonder Woman Honest Trailer lives up to the “honest” name with perhaps the relevant statement of them all.

“Patty Jenkins bravely asks the question, ‘What if a female-led superhero movie wasn’t absolutely garbage from beginning to end, and had a powerful message for girls: Save the world, look flawless doing it, be a literal god, then men might begrudgingly half-tolerate your presence?’”

Here’s to hoping the men more than half-tolerate Wonder Woman‘s presence in Justice League when it hits theaters on November 17th.
