Poor Steve. If you thought you ever had a chance of saving the day with Wonder Woman around, then you better think again. In less than a month, the world will finally be introduced to Diana Prince's first live-action standalone, and hype for the feature has been gradually growing. Now, the film's first clip has been released thanks to Chris Pine, and it shows Wonder Woman saving Steve Trevor when he gets into a rough spot.
In an interview on Jimmy Fallon's late-night show, Pine was able to debut the first Wonder Woman clip to a crowd of adoring fans. In the video above, you can watch as Steve and Diana are cornered by armed goons in an London alley. When one of the guys asks for Steve to hand over a notebook, a fight breaks out. Steve tries to shield Diana with his body when a gun is pulled, but Wonder Woman's arm braces were made for this kind of fight. What follows is a sequence where the heroine deflects dozens of close-range bullets, leaving both Steve and their assailants stunned. But, when the guys do run out of ammo, it is Steve who takes on the last baddie. The soldier takes down the shady gunman with a head-butt, and Steve is then left to wonder what else Wonder Woman is hiding from him.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
