The entertainment world has been somewhat shaken by the situation over at Disney, in which one of the studio’s biggest summer blockbuster tentpoles, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men tell No Tales has been taken hostage by hackers. The industry is watching how the situation is unfolding, as Disney CEO Bob Iger is taking a hard stance against the hackers. In the meantime, Zack Snyder, director of Justice League (one of Warner Bros.’ biggest tentpoles of the year) has advice for how filmmakers can avoid such situations, going forward.

Speaking with TMZ, Snyder said that, “Maybe they’re going to go back to shooting more on — I mean I shoot on film, but we finish digitally. But maybe we gotta finish everything on film. It’s analogue, so you can’t steal it.”
When it comes to protecting the safety and secrecy of the DC Superhero movie universe, Snyder stated:
“We’ve always been really intense with security and trying to keep things as close and careful as we can – but in this world you never know, now, right? Seems like anybody can get hacked. I don’t know if there’s a totally safe way to do it.“
