The makers of Star Wars Battlefront II have actually been pretty forthcoming with fans, dropping plenty of information and multiple trailers since officially unveiling the game back in April, but, of course, Star Wars fans always want more. Earlier this week, a (very) short Star Wars Battlefront II gameplay clip made the rounds, and now we have a slightly more revealing clip to show you (check it out above).

It appears this clip comes from some sort of larger making-of featurette, as we get some gameplay, along with live-action motion capture footage and other behind-the-scenes stuff. At first the clip doesn’t seem to be terribly mind blowing, but there is some interesting stuff to be gleaned from it.

First off, we get an unmistakable look at Emperor Palpatine at the beginning of the clip. It appears his face is being projected on the mysterious red-robed character we saw in the initial Star Wars Battlefront II trailer. We later learned that red-robed character is a Sentinel, but we still don’t know its exact nature. Is Palpatine still alive? Has his consciousness been stored in the Sentinel? Or is it just playing pre-recorded messages?

The clip also provides a peek at your droid sidekick, which you’ll be able to upgrade and customize throughout the game. In the clip we see the droid opening a door, and shocking an enemy, showing it has both puzzle-solving and offensive capabilities. Definitely interested to learn more about the droid.

In addition to the clip, we also have what appears to be a leaked screenshot of the Star Wars Battlefront II loadout screen. Interestingly (or disappointingly, depending on your point of view), it looks like abilities will once again be tied to Star Cards, and you’ll be limited to using three at a time.

Star Wars Battlefront II brings the fight to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 17. You can check out WWG’s latest Battlefront II coverage here, and our back catalog of stories, right here.
