During the ongoing Anime Expo 2017, Bandai Namco announced that the company would be bringing The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia to North America in early 2018.

While The Seven Deadly Sins has made its way into the video game world in the past in the form of a Nintendo 3DS game, Knights of Britannia will be the first game from the anime and manga series to be released on consoles. While most fans of the series will likely have an idea of what to expect from the upcoming game, Bandai Namco released a description on the game’s page to provide further detail:
“Assemble the Seven Deadly Sins and fight to save the Kingdom of Lioness in The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia, coming to PS4!” the description read. “Based on the hit manga, The Seven Deadly Sins by Nabaka Suzuki, enjoy stories of adventure and experience all of the action and excitement from the anime. Play through memorable fights with famous characters such as Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, and others in all of their unique fighting styles”
Regarding the game’s features, the site also promises that Knights of Britannia will be an action-packed, story-driven game that will take place within lush environments. Though the description does say that players will be able to play through memorable fights, it’s not known at this time whether the game will strictly follow the source’s story or whether it’ll branch off into its own adventure.
A trailer was also released for the game that can be seen above. Though brief, The Seven Deadly Sins’ new game doesn’t look half bad, though there’s not a great deal that can be inferred from the trailer as far as gameplay goes. The trailer jumps around quite a bit, but more information and trailers about game elements specific to the gameplay will likely emerge from Bandai Namco soon.
As far as what consoles the game will be released on, it appears as though it will be an exclusive to the PlayStation 4, and it doesn’t look like there are any additional plans at this time to release it on other consoles at a later date. There’s no release date set at this time except for some time in early 2018.
