Earlier this month EA announced they were bringing some of the most acclaimed shooters of 2016 to their EA Access and Origin Access subscription services – Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, and all the expansions for Star Wars Battlefront were confirmed to be on the way, but EA wasn’t clear on release dates. The Star Wars expansions have already arrived, but Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 remained a question mark.

Well, EA has officially announced Titanfall 2 is joining the Origin Access lineup this week, meaning anybody who signs up for the service will have unlimited access to the game. So far, we only have an Origin Access release for the game – the EA Access Xbox One date is still forthcoming.
For those unfamiliar, Origin Access and EA Access are Netflix-like game subscription services specifically for EA titles. Origin Access is for PC, while EA Access is for Xbox One, with each service having slightly different lineups (there’s no version of the service available for PS4). In addition to over 70 EA games, your $4 monthly/$30 yearly Origin/EA Access subscription fee lets you play certain high-profile EA games a few days early.
Still not sure about Titanfall 2 or this Origin Access stuff? Well, Titanfall 2 is currently in the midst of a free weekend – you still have until midnight tonight (July 30) to test it out. Meanwhile, you can check out all the games available in the Origins Vault, right here. The service started a little shaky, but it’s turned into a pretty good deal as EA has steadily added more titles.
Titanfall 2 hits Origin Access on August 1. Meanwhile, Battlefield 1 should hit Origin/EA access sometime before the end of September.
