The developed has released several new tutorial videos that break down some of the best fighters you’ll come across in the game. We’ve added each of the characters in the following pages, so you can understand how each one works as well as what they bring to the table. There are also combo moves introduced, in case you need something to focus on in that department.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite releases on September 19th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Ryu
First up is Ryu, the classic fighter from the Street Fighter series. Anyone who’s ever played a Capcom fighting game should be quite familiar with his move set, which includes his hurricane kick, Dragon Punch, and fireball technique. They’re pretty amped up in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, as you can see in the videoย above. But you might also learn a thing or two when it comes to his Hyper Combos and Unique Skill.
Mega Man
Next up is everyone’s favorite Blue Bomber, Mega Man X. He returns to the series after taking a few years off, but he hasn’t lost any spring in his step, as he has a number of powerful moves that he can unleash on enemies, including Super Moves and a Unique Skill that will wipe out even the toughest opponent. He’s very projectile-based, but can do a lot of damage when these moves land, so it helps to practice them and see what they can do. His Level 3 super is pretty spectacular as well, if you can land it at close range.
Captain Marvel
One of the better new faces to join the Marvel vs. Capcom ranks, Captain Marvel looks like she fits right into the ranks with ease, with a number of devastating moves that could even knock back Iron Man in his most powerful state. She can unleash a number of stellar energy attacks that can really cover the range of the screen, so you might even be able to land some damage while blocking. Her supers look amazing as well, so make sure you store up enough energy to unleash these. She could very well be Captain America’s equal — or even stronger than that.
Captain America
One of Marvel vs. Capcom‘s favorite champions returns, with his indestructible shield and his immense speed helping him out when it comes to battle. There are various shield strikes that can be used, and if they don’t hit an opponent on the way in, there’s a good chance it could hit them on the way back. On top of that, he can also deliver hyper combos that can scoreย multiple hits if you land them just right. It’ll be great to see how good ol’ Cap fares against several foes in the game, including Captain Marvel. That’d be a fight to watch.
Morrigan
Finally, there’s the beautiful โ yet dangerously vicious โ Morrigan from the Darkstalkers series, making her return to the world of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Despite her somewhat odd voice, Morrigan is incredibly wild to play as, since she can chain together many combos and let loose with some fun moves, including demon fireballs, a charging kick, and a variation of the classic Dragon Punch move. And, yep, to no one’s surprise, her super techniques are pretty damn amazing, particularly when she lets loose with a missile shower. She can also call upon a twin to hit an opponent for twice the damage.
