If you’re a fan of classic Nintendo Entertainment System-style games, you may want to take notice of Mad Gear Games’ forthcoming A Whole New World. The game, a classic side scroller that reminds many of us of that classic era, is making its way to the system next month. But the developers are looking for people to fully complete it and earn all the Achievements – and are more than ready to provide a reward for it.

The studio confirmed that those the first player to make their way through the entire game and finish it completely, Achievements and all, will earn a special, limited edition NES cartridge of the game. All you need to do is finish it, contact the studio, provide suitable evidence (no faked screenshots, you cheaters), and the cartridge is all yours. What’s more, the cartridge actually works with both models of the NES.
The promotion was initially launched with the PC version of the game when it arrived last month, and Mad Gear has also promised it will make it available with the PlayStation 4 version whenever its launch is ready to go (it currently doesn’t have a release date). Meanwhile, the Xbox One version is set to arrive on June 9th, and you can watch a gameplay trailer below to get an idea of just what kind of adventure you’re in for.
In the game, players take control of a Potion Master and fight back against monsters that are attempting to take over a city in Upside Down World. Of course, that means a good portion of the world is upside down (as you can see in the footage above), so you’ll need to be careful how you travel. The game features a main Story mode, along with a New Game + mode, a Boss Rush mode and a Challenge mode, so there’s plenty to take in when the game finally releases. You’ll also have to deal with minimal health, so be prepared to die often over the course of your adventures. (Is that you, Dark Souls?)
