Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Release Date Leaked (And It’s Soon)

Battlefield 6‘s battle royale is reportedly coming much sooner than we had thought. Battlefield 6 is one of the biggest games releasing later this year and it looks like it may revive the franchise. Battlefield 2042 nearly killed the franchise as it launched in a disastrous state and took the gameplay in a direction that fans didn’t want. While some ideas were genuinely worth trying, like increasing the player count, very little about that game actually worked. As a result, EA shook up the entire Battlefield team by bringing in ex-Call of Duty and Titanfall mastermind Vince Zampella to oversee the franchise and bringing on more studios to work on the series.

With that said, it appears to be paying off as Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be really good and have a massive offering of content at launch. Battlefield 6 will have a battle royale, a campaign, a traditional PvP multiplayer mode, and custom maps and modes via Portal. It seems like there will be a little something for everyone and EA is sparing no expense to make sure this game hits a variety of different audiences. However, the team at Battlefield Studios has been quiet with regards to the battle royale.

Battlefield 6‘s Battle Royale Reportedly Releases Next Month

The Battlefield 6 battle royale got its first official details last week ahead of a closed playtest. Some footage also leaked out, showing off exactly how Battlefield 6‘s BR will stand out from the competition. With all of that said, the team has been reluctant to share exactly when the mode will release. A new leak from ModernWarzone, a popular account for Call of Duty and other shooters, has revealed that the Battlefield 6 battle royale will release on October 28th, just a couple of weeks after the main game is released.

At the moment, we’re not sure whether or not the Battlefield 6 battle royale will be free-to-play, but it would be shocking if you had to buy the full game to play it. Battle royales have managed to be so successful because they’re completely free and it allows more people the chance to get into it. Of course, the money is made through in-game transactions like skins, but Battlefield 6 has taken a strong stance against whacky cosmetics, so there may not be as strong of an incentive for players to spend money on a free-to-play games when the skins are grounded.
