The video below showcases one of the team members as he plays through his own creation while donning several Link outfits. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild spin in Super Mario Maker is more than just a little impressive as he even utilises the BotW’s shrines within this new world.

“It was a bit of a nightmare trying to figure out how to translate the ideas and mechanics of an open world 3D game into a side-scrolling platformer (especially when it came to the runes!),” Andre told Game Informer, “Particularly as the Super Mario Bros. theme I used is the most limited of the bunch! But I think it shows how few hard limits there really are in Super Mario Maker that don’t have some creative workaround, and I hope it can inspire other level creators out there! With that said, here’s hoping for a proper Legend of Zelda Maker someday.”
