Destiny 2 Faction Tokens – The Fastest Way to Farm

Destiny 2 is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players, with a PC launch just a month away. With the recent addition of a Faction Rally event, some players are looking for the creme de la creme of loot and the best way to get that is through the trade of Faction Tokens with the respective leaders. Whether you choose Future War Cult, Dead Orbit, or New Monarchy; each group has exclusive drops for those that pledge their loyalty. It takes 20 tokens to get that specific engram, so here’s a simple way to get there fast.

For those that are intimately familiar with Destiny 2 and how the reward system works, this will be expected. Whether new to the franchise, or a returning veteran, farming for a desired reward is vital to the best possible performance in this MMO environment.

For those Guardians looking to farm Faction Tokens, there are several ways to go about it, but taking to Titan for a Lost Sector is the most effective way to go about this quest for 20. 

Players should head to Titan and seek out The Rig. The Lost Sector available there is called Cargo Bay 3 and is fairly easy to maneuver with the core aim of destroying supplies in order to earn Faction Tokens. Players can then respawn to reset this specific Lost Sector to continue earning those tokens through pure destruction.  The best way to go about this specific event is this: 

• Head to The Rig on Titan
• Proceed to the Cargo Bay 3
• Destroy every supply unit from a good distance, except one
• Stand directly beside the remaining supply drop 
•  Destroy it while standing directly next to it
• This will trigger the player to respawn outside of the Lost Sector
• Rinse, Lather, Repeat

If players and their Guardians are efficient, it shouldn’t take longer than 1-2 minutes to farm a total of 6 Faction Tokens, given that there are only 6 supply units available within Cargo Bay 3. There are other ways to earn these tokens, notably through participation in Public Events, but those take significantly longer. With the respawn trick, players can have their 20 tokens in under 5-10 minutes, depending on speed.

There are numerous ways for players to Farm, but with new raids, strikes, and a constant influx of Public Events; work smarter, not harder.
