Now that Injustice 2 is out (and kicking ass and taking names), fans everywhere are able to enjoy the fighting antics of their favorite DC Comics villains and heroes. But which version is best – PlayStation or Xbox?

That’s a good question. Both versions seem to show an incredible amount of polish, although we can’t help but wonder just how much better it looks on the PlayStation 4 Pro. Fortunately, the team over at Digital Foundry was able to answer that question, posting a new comparison video that takes a closer glimpse at the game in action.
In the video, which you can watch below, the company did indicate that the PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game does have a slight few differences that could be considered for the better, but the key word here is “slight,” as they’re “subtle” at best. In fact, with the game running at the usual frame rate, players may be hard pressed to spot these differences.
In addition, the team noted that there are a “handful” of torn framerate issues with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, particularly with online matches. But, again, with the game running at full speed during a match, fans may be hard-pressed to see just what all of these might be. In fact, we’re still looking, even after Digital Foundry broke it down for us.
The team noted that, overall, the game runs very well across all involved platforms. Sure, the PlayStation 4 Pro has a slight graphical edge, but overall, it’s still a splendid looking game, thanks to Netherrealm Studios’ articulate attention to detail, especially during the fight intros and with the game’s animations.
You can check out the nine minute breakdown to see what kind of differences are involved, but if you don’t have a PlayStation 4 Pro just yet, you don’t have to worry about upgrading just to get the most out of the game (unless, of course, you want that 4K display for your new television – in that case, by all means).
Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
