With his initial reveal out of the way and now that players have had a second to calm themselves down after seeing the disgusting new kit that the Dreadnought has, it's time to take a minute and look at how the juggernaut's whole kit works together to wreck teamfights and stick to enemies relentlessly.
Though the gameplay that we get to see is brief, it shows just how imposing the new Urgot will be when he hits the Rift. He's a big dude, but he's got plenty of ways to keep up with more mobile champs as he hunts them down.
Whatever was going on in the fight before the clip starts doesn't matter to Urgot because he starts off his preview with his terrifying new ultimate, Fear Beyond Death. He makes quick work of the enemy Lee Sin by targeting him with the skillshot and impaling him, reactivating the ability shortly afterward to reel the jungler in and instantly execute him due to Lee Sin's health being below a certain threshold.
While still taking out his first target, Urgot can maneuver himself during his ultimate to crawl towards his next enemy, Jarvan IV. The Bruiser is tanky, but with Urgot's stickiness, throws, and a strategic positioning of his cannon knees passive ability, he quickly shreds through Jarvan's health. We can't see his items and cooldown reduction from the video, but his beefy shield and his charge ability seems to be up pretty often, definitely frequently enough to stick to a target and quickly move to the next one while shrugging off incoming damage. Even a Viktor with a Rylai's and his Gravity Field — which even fully stuns Urgot inside it after slowing him — isn't enough for the mage to escape Urgot through his shields, slows, and dashes.
While some players have joked after the reveal that it's time to take Urgot back into the bot lane to terrorize some ADC/Support combos, this video shows that Urgot is clearly being cemented in the Juggernaut position as seen from the ample health that the creepy tank brings to the fight as he ignores incoming damage. Black Cleaver looks like a must on Urgot, an item with a movement speed passive that can easily be blocked by destroying minions around your main target with his passive and an armor-shredding ability that works in tandem with Urgot's sticky physical damage.
Despite being designed for the top lane now, it's inevitable that he'll be taken into other roles to test out builds and combos, so it'll be interesting to see how his design, abilities and damage are tweaked as players make him fit into more positions.
For now, check out the splash arts for his updated skins and figure out which one of them you're planning on buying when the new Urgot hits the Rift.
