Though single-player support for Mass Effect: Andromeda has come to an end and the future of the franchise is still an unknown, fans that have played the latest installment were left wondering about that scene at the end concerning the communication sent from the Quarian ship. As promised, BioWare has brought that particular mystery to a close; though not in the way many wanted.

The franchise continues with the third novel in the Andromeda series called Mass Effect: Annihilation. The first being Nexus Uprising followed shortly by Initiation; Annihilation follows what happened with the Quarians and the other races missing from the Andromeda mission.

The third book dives into the tumultuousย events centering around the Keelahย Si’yah, the ship that housed over 20,000 Drell, Elcor, Batarian, and Quarianย colonists all making their way to their new home in Andromeda. Though as the main game proved, the journey was not an easy one and many deaths and tragedy took place. Did the Quariansย and others meet with the same end – or did they prevail their hardships and eventually make it to the new homeworld?ย

Mass Effect: Annihilation will be written by award-winning author Catherynneย M. Valenteย and will be available in US, Canadian, and UK stores on June 26th of next year, with an Australian release on August 28th.ย
