A new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has today gone live and brought with it numerous balance changes for a variety of different weapons. With the calendar having now turned over to October, Activision will begin ramping up its promotion of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is due out in mere weeks. Prior to that launch, though, support for MW3 hasn’t waned as the latest patch makes drastic overhauls to Multiplayer.

Downloadable now across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, this new CoD: MW3 update is mainly aimed at balance changes. A slew of shotguns, rifles, handguns, and a lone battle rifle have all been either nerfed or buffed, with 15 guns in total being altered on this patch. As a result, many fan-favorite weapons will now be a bit different than they were previously. Other than this, Activision has made a single adjustment to the Guardian-SC killstreak and has resolved two additional bugs with the Shipment and Sporeyard maps.
