There are a number of areas that are still suffering from the fallout of natural disasters, including Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. Now, there's an opportunity for gamers to help out and get a little something for their trouble.

Sony has launched a special Avatar for PlayStation 4 owners that will allow them to donate a particular amount to help out those in need through natural disaster relief. These donations range from $5.00 all the way to $100.00, and you'll get a special "Support Our Community" PS4 theme for doing so.

"Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria have impacted so many lives and destroyed countless communities," the company cites on the product page. "Come together on PlayStation Store and purchase the theme pack to help people affected by Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Maria. Purchase price will be donated to Feeding Americas relief efforts.

And it's simple to apply the theme once you purchase it, with the following steps:

  • Select Settings from the function screen.
  • Select the Theme Settings option to display a list of themes.
  • Scroll to the desired theme, and then press the X button once to select and again to apply.

So here's your chance to help out those in need and have a cool-looking theme to boot! It's available for PlayStation 4 now.
