PlayStation Plus Adding 8 New Games for Extra and Premium Subscribers Soon

Like all major platforms, PlayStation has its own subscription service — PlayStation Plus — for online play and sometimes free games. Each month, new games are added to the PS Plus catalog, with September already receiving top titles such as Psychonauts 2 and Stardew Valley, two titles that are still widely played today, among others. However, while that catalog can be accessed by anyone with a PS Plus account, Sony tends to offer a bit more for their higher-tiered customers.

Gamers on the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers, which come with additional benefits like exclusive add-ons and discounts, are receiving eight additional games for free in September 2025. The full list is below, including which platforms they’re available on.

PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium Games for September 2025 Explained

One of the biggest titles is the newest entry in the acclaimed wrestling series, WWE 2K25. It is one of the most jam-packed in the series and features iconic competitors that have become fan favorites, such as Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley, as well as older classics like Batista and John Cena. Meanwhile, RPG fans will enjoy the additions of Persona 5 Tactica and Fate Samurai/Remnant. Each offers a different take on the genre and have vibrant anime-style visuals. These are rounded out with The Invincible, a sci-fi narrative journey with numerous possible endings.

Horror fans can partake in several titles this month, leading up to the spooky season. Crow Country and Conscript will have you on the edge of your seat and suspicious of every sound. While not technically horror, Green Hell’s survival aspects and native adversaries can capture the spirit of the genre. Last but not least, Premium users gain access to the classic title Legacy of Kain: Defiance. This PlayStation 2 action-adventure game is now playable on PS4 and PS5 for the first time. It still holds up well to this day and is perfect for longtime fans of the series.
