PlayStation Sale Celebrates PAX With Deep Discounts on Greatest Hits

PlayStation has revealed a massive sale in to kick off PAX West that includes some of the best games across several PlayStation systems.

With the start of the Seattle event, players who are able to attend the conference will be able to get a hands-on experience with tons of PlayStation 4 games and some new VR content. But if traveling to the conference is out of the question for PlayStation fans, they can still enjoy some deep discounts, some games dropping as low as $1.99 each.

For players who own a PS4, PS3, PS Vita, or PSP, several discounts listed here are available until Sept. 5.

PlayStation 4 Games

From the light-hearted Goat Simulator to superhero favorites like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the first half of the PS4 discounts offers plenty of games from all different genres.

While some of the games listed were already priced pretty low and dropped to insanely cheap prices, others that were still near full price dipped even lower. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor – Game of the Year Edition is one game that takes a noticeable drop from $46.49 to the low price of $18.59.

PlayStation 4 Games Cont’d.

Continuing on from the first set of PS4 deals, Super Meat Boy, the VR game Thumper, and the previously high-priced XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition all make their way onto the selection of deals.

The Digital Deluxe Edition for XCOM 2 undoubtedly tops the charts as the biggest discount from all of the PS4 games, the title dropping down from $74.99 all the way to $29.99.

PlayStation 3 Games

For those players who haven’t yet made the transition to the PS4, PlayStation 3 owners can still cash in on massive discounts this week.

With a selection of Final Fantasy and the multiplayer favorites from the Borderlands series, Sony isn’t leaving PS3 owner behind by any means. Some of the titles such as Fez and Goat Simulator are shared with the PS4 list as well, so if you own both consoles, you can take your pick of console to purchase select games for.

PlayStation Vita Games

While the list of games that are discounted on the PlayStation Vita isn’t quite as large as the one for the PS4 deals, there are still plenty of deals that are hard to pass up with how low they get. 

With Bard’s Gold and Rollers of the Realm dropping to just $2 each and other games facing similar price slashes, Vita owners can hope to add quite a few new games to their collections through the deals. From fighting games to adventure titles, the Vita boasts its own selection of hits during the PAX sale.

PlayStation Portable Games

Last but not least on the gaming deals is the PSP, a list that offers some games that were already pretty cheap and become even cheaper after steep discounts.

Collections are the main theme of the PSP discounts that bring together classic games from Capcom and Sega, but several other standalone games are also included. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, pictured above, drops down to just $5 along with plenty of other PSP games.

Movies

Moving on from the games, a massive collection of movies is also on sale during PlayStation’s PAX discounts that includes viewer favorites like 21 Jump Street and superhero collections like the Dark Knight Franchise. 

Not all of the movies below are available in standard definition, but each film has a discount for whatever version it’s available in, sometimes both.

Rounding out the list of PlayStation’s deals is the final selection of movies that’s available now for a limited time, most of them again available in either an SD or HD version.

Boasting more superhero movies, action flicks, and horror thrillers like the V/H/S Collection, the last couple of movies that complete the discounts will keep film-lovers busy for quite some time as they catch up on newer films and relive older classics.
