We already know that Injustice 2‘s DLC pack is in full swing, with Red Hood, Starfire and Mortal Kombat‘s Sub-Zero set to make their debut starting this month. But what about the remaining fighters that are coming to the game?

With E3 coming next week, there’s a good chance that NetherRealm Studios could be revealing some of these fighters. However, thanks to this image on Reddit that shows off Red Hood ready for purchase within the game, we’ve got a hint of what the other fighters coming to the game could be.

Take a look at the silhouettes in the boxes off to the sides. As you can probably guess, two of those are occupied by forthcoming fighters Star-Fire and Sub-Zero. But that leaves six, and a couple of them are pretty recognizable to fans of either Mortal Kombat or DC Comics.

But what about the rest? Well, let’s take a close look and speculate who the other fighters could be. Now, keep in mind this is far from an official list, as that’s likely coming in just a few days. Still, we can dream, can’t weโ€ฆ?

And who knows? Maybe some of our previous guesses could be right here โ€“ as well as this trailer hinting at new characters to come.

Spawn/Azrael

Let’s start with the character on the top left. Based on the shape of their head, they could very well be some sort of character hiding in mystery. Spawn could be a possibility, wearing some kind of cloak to hide himself in plain sight; but there’s also Azrael, the hooded figure who works alongside the group of assassins created by the Sacred Order of Saint Dumas. Azrael is probably a safer bet because he’s part of the DC universe anyway, having battled Batman on many an occasion. That said, Spawn would be a welcome addition, if only because of his history in games, like his stint in Soul Calibur II. Wishful thinking.

Sub-Zero

Next up in the top row on the left hand side another hooded figure, and it’s plain to see that it’s Sub-Zero, the hooded assassin from the Mortal Kombat series. Jim Lee designed his new look for Injustice 2, and it’s right on par with how Scorpion was put together for the original Injustice: Gods Among Us, with just enough mystery behind him, but also featuring his ice cold ways of dealing with enemies. We can’t wait to see how he fares against the likes of Captain Cold โ€“ or, for that matter, Mr. Freeze! It’s definitely a battle that’s bound to get a littleโ€ฆchilly?

Starfire

Moving over to the top right of the fighter grid, we have a female character, and it appears to be none other than Star-Fire. She’s easy to spot because of the hairstyle she’s using with her character in the game, and, considering Sub-Zero’s placement on the other side, it only makes sense that she be put in this slot. She’s bound to leave quite an impression on the other female fighters that are included in the game, including Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Supergirl and, of course, everyone’s favorite Amazon, Wonder Woman. We can’t wait to see what awesome abilities she brings to the table in the coming weeks.

Atom

Yes, you are looking at the image correctly โ€“ rather than featuring a profile that just has most of the fighter in frame, the panel in the top right corner has a tiny man. And that’s likely to be none other than the Atom. Now, we’re not sure if he stays shrunken full-time over the course of the match, but, more than likely, he’ll be able to shrink and grow back to size at will, and maybe even get a little bit larger when it comes to his super technique. Hey, for that matter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite may be considering adding Ant-Man to the roster, so it looks like it’s just about time for small heroes to take on the big time!

Enchantress

This is just a wild guess, but we don’t know too many DC Comics female characters that wear such an obvious headpiece. (Mera, perhaps?) But, for now, we’re calling it as Enchantress, the supernatural vixen who created such a stir in last year’s Suicide Squad film. More than likely, her build in Injustice 2 will be based more on her comic book version, which is fine by us. Her supernatural abilities should make her a force to be reckoned with, and she’s probably in for a great fight going up against the likes of her fellow Squad members, like Harley Quinn and Deadshot.

Black Manta

This one’s kind of obvious, based around the tubing that appears around the figure in the image to the bottom left, right by the main grid. That definitely looks like Black Manta to us, and this isn’t the first time that he’s been hinted at in the game. He’d made a great old-school addition to the roster, if only because he could put up one hell of a fight with Aquaman. For that matter, he could probably hone in some cool water-based abilities as well โ€“ a perfect counter to Firestorm’s techniques. It is summer, after all, so let’s get wet and wild.

Raiden

Here’s another character that’s been hinted at on more than one occasion โ€“ the thunder god Raiden! This Mortal Kombat veteran would be an ideal addition to the cast, only because his electrical abilities, as well as the capability of charging at someone and sending them flying across the room with an airborne tackle, simply can’t be beat. As for his super, he probably wouldn’t make heads explode anymore, but there’s nothing stopping him from grabbing his opponent, zipping them through other realms, and then sending them crashing back down to Earth.

Oh, and can we get a Christopher Lambert skin? Please?

Constantine/Rorschach

We’ve been hearing all sorts of rumors on these last characters, as some die-hard Watchmen fans have been wanted the masked detective for some time. For that matter, though, fans have also been asking for Constantine, whose supernatural roster would be perfect for fighting fans. There’s definitely a trenchcoat there, but the silhouette, in the bottom right hand corner, is so hard to make out that it could be either character. If it were us, though, it’d have to be Constantine, just because the TV show went wayyyyyy too soon.

Injustice 2 is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
