Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a spectacular addition to the franchise, one that Naughty Dog has worked on for some time. However, the developer has noted that it’s not sure if it’ll be returning to the franchise once it finishes work on its forthcoming sequel The Last of Us Part II. However, Sony doesn’t appear to have a doubt that it’s coming back after Lost Legacy.

According to EGM, Sony has posted a brief but enjoyable video clip that highlights some of the action that players can expect from the hit spin-off, with a few quotes from some video game outlets to boot. But what’s most interesting is what it notes in its tweet. Take a look below.

The EGM author made note of something interesting โ that Sony chose to use the word “continues” instead of “concludes”. Of course, Naughty Dog never said it was officially done with the franchise. In fact, when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End came out some time ago, the company noted “one last time” at first, but then changed it up when Sony noted that it was “the closing chapter for Nathan Drake’s story.”
It could just be a choice of phrasing, but we’d happily take another Uncharted game. In fact, one featuring Drake’s brother Sam, alongside longtime stalwart Sully, would be a welcome treat to those looking to get more adventure going.
Now, that said, it probably will be a while before we see another new Uncharted. Naughty Dog has already noted that it’s looking to strike out for new territory once it finishes up work on The Last of Us Part II, and that’s going to take a good while to finish. So Lost Legacy is going to be as good as it’s going to get for a while. Enjoy it!
