A Steam RPG from 2023, which has been in early access, is being removed next month on October 10. The PC game is a Steam Early Access exclusive, so this means the game will not be available to purchase in any capacity anywhere following this date. Meanwhile, its online elements will also cease to operate, leaving the game only playable in an offline capacity. Obviously, this has not gone down well with all of the PC users who have purchased the game while it has been in early access. And right now, there is no word of refunds for these players.

The Steam game in question is Superfuse, an action RPG looter that was, according to the developers of the game, inspired by the likes of Diablo, Torchlight, and Path of Exile. And it shows. Unfortunately for the developer, Stitch Heads Entertainment, things have not worked out for it as well as these other games, despite having a well-known indie publisher, Raw Fury, publishing the game. For those who do not recognize the name Raw Fury, they put out one of this year’s best games, Blue Prince, earlier this year.
That said, not only is the game being delisted, but it has taken Stich Heads Entertainment with it, leaving next to no room for a return in the future, as Raw Fury presumably doesn’t own the IP.
Official Statement From Raw Fury
“We understand that many of you have been waiting for news on the game for a while, so we wanted to provide an update here,” reads a new official statement from Raw Fury about the game’s future. Unfortunately, Stitch Heads Entertainment, the studio behind the game, has ceased operations; and as a result, we will no longer be able to support the gameโs servers, general stability, or offer any patches and updates. After much consideration and based on Steamโs guidelines and instructions, weโll be removing the game from Steam as of October 10, 2025.”
The statement continues: “This is an unfortunate situation, and we wish we could have brought you better news for Superfuse and its future. We want to thank all of you who have been part of its community.”
Elsewhere in the statement, Raw Fury confirms the game will remain available in your Steam library perpetually; however, it will not be getting any more updates. In other words, how it is in its current state is how it will stay.
What Went Wrong?
One look at Superfuse’s Steam User Review rating, “Mostly Negative,” seems to tell the whole story of this delisting and studio shutdown. However, most of the negative reviews did not come until support dried up, and when it became clear this early access game was going nowhere. To this end, some of the comments from fans on the statement above reveal players are not just unhappy with the situation, but disappointed that the game will never see its potential.
“Huge potential wasted, the only thing good we got out of it is the soundtrack,” reads one of these comments. Another adds: “Perfect example of a cash grab. Thanks for abandoning something that could have easily been an amazing game.”
While many games shut down or never get to release in the first place due to a lack of quality or a lack of interest, neither is very relevant here. We do not have concrete insight into what went wrong, but nothing indicates the product itself is to blame.
The good news is that Steam users have an infinite amount of releases to help them get over this delisting, including a major RPG out in the next couple of weeks. This won’t help them get their $25 back, though.
All of that said, and as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think, or join the conversation over on the ComicBook Forum.
