Top Destiny 2 Plays of the Week – More Booping Than Usual

Another week has gone by since Destiny 2’s release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and Guardians have their hands full with ongoing strikes, raids, public events, and more post-game activities. To celebrate, Bungie features the top plays of the week to show the good, the bad, and the hilarious. This week’s “Reel ’em in” segment brings in a little booping, a little takedown, and one impressive balancing act.

This week sees “The Booping”, with a hilarious intro and a play style that would make Lucio from Overwatch fans proud, “Lower the Shoulder” with an impressive takedown of a 4P grouping, and the “Balancing Act”, which speaks for itself. Let’s get started with this week’s Destiny 2 Plays of the Week!

Move of the Week: The Booping – A Tractor’s Story

The first clip is both hilarious and so, so frustrating – you can’t help but to feel for those characters as they launch into mid-air for their inevitable downfall. The player “Jam Time” takes no prisoners with his effective “booping” strategy of herding players near the map’s edge to blast them right on over.

The video comes courtesy of YouTuber “Jam Time,” much like his gamertag, as he shows off the party while booping other players in the Crucible. Check it out for yourself in the video below: 

If it were to just one or two players, this video probably wouldn’t have made it on the radar – but that boom, boom, boom of constant Guardians getting hefted to their death is just too good to pass up! 

Honorable Mention: Lower the Shoulder – Quad Shoulder Charge Kill

The runner up for top clip of the week comes from an impressive play by PlayStation 4 user ‘Mustange1672’. The PvP event went on like normal until around the 10 second mark when the player just obliterated the other team with one attack. Just a simple warning, there is a language advisory – which is understandable, that takedown was sick! 

The second video in our Clip of the Week segment celebrating Destiny 2 comes courtesy of the YouTube channel by the same name, ‘Mustang 1672’. 

The best part about this clip is isn’t even the takedown – it’s that his teammates were almost more stoked about the play than he was. The player was the epitome of cool, calm, and collected despite his Guardian’s savagery. 

Honorable Mention: Balancing Act

The third and final clip for our Destiny 2 plays of the week comes from YouTuber Aptsy showing off their, well … frankly impressive “balancing act” skills at the post-game Tower social space. The comment section is almost the best part of this video, with some YouTubers commenting their reactions like:

“OH MY GOD AAAAHAHAHAHA. You have truly become Legend.” 

“The prophesy is true. You are the Chosen One.”

And my personal favourite: 

“Pack it up boys, we are done here. See you in Destiny 3, Aptsy.”
