We’re just one week away from the return of Naughty Dog to the Uncharted franchise, with the fun side adventure The Lost Legacy. But those of you wondering just how much space you’ll need to download the game, we’ve got the answer for you.

The team over at Thisgengaming have reported that the download size for The Lost Legacy is no flash in the pan. In fact, its total download size is almost as big as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Those who have gotten their hands on a review code for the game have indicated that the total file size of the game is clocking in at 44.7 GB. That’s just short of the 48 GB that Uncharted 4 took up when it launched a while ago.
That’s quite a bit of download if you’re buying the digital version, though the physical version is likely to have a similar install size, and will likely go a little bit faster. And while that’s still a portion of what larger games go for (like Gears of War 4 eventually reaching 100 GB), it’s a pretty hefty chunk off of, say, a 500 GB hard drive, which is the usual standard size for the PlayStation 4.
The game will have plenty of visual beauty to go around, though its exact gameplay time hasn’t been revealed just yet โ and likely won’t come up until after the game’s out. One thing’s for sure, though โ it’ll push the PS4 to its limits, just like A Thief’s End did. It’ll pack a resolution of 1440p, as well as HDR support for those that have 4K televisions. That probably shouldn’t be a big surprise, considering Naughty Dog’s usual standard of effort with its games.
We’ll let you know how the game shapes up with a review next week, but, based on what we’ve seen thus far, it looks to be a big blockbuster adventure โ and one of the likely big hits for the PlayStation 4 leading into the forthcoming holiday season. You bet we’ll be jumping into this one as soon as we can.
