Becoming a WWE superstar isn’t easy. You’ve got to go through a whole bunch of training, not to mention the NXT developmental league, before you even have a chance to make it as a superstar. And while most of us won’t be able to experience taking that route, there is another way to go – through the Road To Glory mode in WWE 2K18.

2K Sports revealed an all new trailer for the mode, which will be included in the game and will allow you to work your way up the ranks from scratch after building your dream wrestler. This includes going through the lower ranks, earning experience, learning new moves that will make you more of a powerhouse, and even making alliances – and a few enemies.
What’s more, you can actually battle against other players online and build up your repertoire, and earn a few bonuses in the process, including weekly bonuses and points that you can use to earn upgrades. (There’s no word yet if WWE 2K18 will use a pay-to-play system like NBA 2K18 kind of does, but we’ll have to see.)
As you work your way through the ranks, you’ll eventually earn spots on pay-per-views and maybe even get a shot at a championship, if you’re good enough. There are objectives you’ll have to complete, and the more you get through, the more you’ll build up your meter and, hopefully, become a WWE Hall of Famer like “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair (WHOO!) or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, amongst others.
This, along with the MyCareer mode, will really give you a lot to do in the game. Not to mention the fact that the roster is loaded with dozens upon dozens of superstars, including developmental NXT favorites, as well as up-and-coming stars and a few WWE legends thrown in for good measure. Oh, yeah, this game is loaded.
You can check out the Road To Glory mode in the trailer above and see if you’ve got what it takes to challenge other players and a few WWE legends as you pave your way to championship greatness. Don’t expect an easy road though.
WWE 2K18 releases on October 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
