Earlier this week, we reported the news that Electronic Arts was looking to bring The Sims 4 to Xbox One this October, marking the first time that the franchise had seen a console release in seven years. A lot of fans were excited for the news, but others were bummed, hoping that it would make its way to PlayStation 4 as well. Guess what โ€“ you got your wish!

Following that news release, Electronic Arts has clarified that The Sims 4 will be arriving for both consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, on November 17th. So yes, PS4 fans, you’ll get a turn as well.

That said, there is a way that you can actually play it earlier. While the standard edition will be available on the 17th, there’s a Deluxe Party Pack of the game that you’ll be able to order that will give you up to three days of early access, starting on November 14th.

Not only that, but those that purchase the Deluxe Edition will also get a few bonus goodies. We passively mentioned them in the previous story, but EA has provided some more details on just what these entail:

  • Life of the Party:
    • Flaming Tiki Bar and sleek, stylized outfits for your Sims.
  • Up All Night:
    • Laser Light Show, fun decorations, and outrageous party costumes.
  • Awesome Animal Hats:
    • A collection of fun animal hats for your Sims to wear and show off.

So, yes, if you feel like hosting a laser light show while chilling at your tiki bar while wearing a hat that resembles an ostrich or a rhino, that’s totally your call.

Now, the only obstacle is actually EA’s other property, Star Wars: Battlefront II. The game is releasing the same day as The Sims 4, set to arrive on November 17th. And like that game, there will be an early access offer, namely to EA Access and Origin Access subscribers.

But still, they’re two different games for two different fanbases, so chances are that EA will clean up nicely for the holiday season. Besides, there’s always the opportunity for a die-hard player to balance being both a Sim master and a Jedi master.

We’ll see how everything pans out once November 17th rolls around!
