Captain America’s “birthday” is July 4, and Marvel Heroes 2016 is is celebrating the event with two all-new costumes for the character.

The first is the All-New All-Different costume that just debuted last month. That new costume, worn by a Captain America who declared “Hail Hydra,” includes a new shield that divides in two, just like it does on the printed page. The second is a new enhanced costume, featuring the Avengers Next character American Dream. This female Captain America will appear in Marvel Heroes 2016 with brand-new animations and voiceover, similar to costumes like the Lady Deadpool, Beta Ray Bill, Kate Bishop Hawkeye, and others.

The new costumes will go live by the end of this week, just in time for Fourth of July on Monday, and just in time for the long weekend to give players extended playing time with the new look characters. The new versions of the character here come hot on the heels of new costumes and alternate characters across several other Marvel games.

Marvel Heroes 2016 launched in January, ahead of the third anniversary of the game. It included a new storyline chapter, controller support, a major facelift (that continues to roll out in the game), new characters, 50 new Steam Achievements, and the official launch of the Mac version of the game.

Check out full-size looks at the two new costumes in the gallery below, and look for them later this week at store.marvelheroes.com.
