Now that Marvel has opened up their television offerings past just Netflix, the universe can expand in some unforeseen ways. Most likely no one anticipated a Runways series being in the cards, but lo and behold a new series is heading to Hulu in the near future.

The fan-favorite series will be the first project between Marvel and Hulu and depicts a group of young teens who find out they’re parents run a crime syndicate known as The Pride in Los Angeles. The teens rebel against their supervillain parents and set out on their own to right the wrongs of their family tree, and the working title for the show keeps that in mind. The working title for The Runaways has been revealed to be “Rugrats” (via Production Weekly), a nice nod to the youthful theme of the beloved series.

No word yet on tone, casting, or plotline, but Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will be serving as showrunners and executive producers, along with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. Lis Rowinski will be producing, and Tamara Becher is writing the script.

Runaways will join the upcoming Cloak and Dagger series on Freeform as well as the upcoming Iron Fist and Defenders series on Netflix. If the freshman shows are successful, expect Hulu and Freeform to get more Marvel projects in the future.

No release date for The Runaways has been announced. Currently available on Netflix are two seasons of Marvel’s Daredevil and the first seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Coming up in March is Iron Fist starring Finn Jones as the titular hero with The Punisher and The Defenders expected to arrive sometime later this year.
