Move over, Sad Affleck! You have had your time to shine in the meme spotlight, but it is Marvel’s turn to step to the forefront. Earlier today, comic book fans were graced with one impressive meme thanks to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The reaction GIF came courtesy of an interview the executive did with Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal over Spider-Man: Homecoming. When the latter told press Sony’s Spider-Man spinoffs would take place within the MCU, well, Feige’s face says it all.

In the video, Feige and Pascal can be seen sitting next to one another when the Sony executive drops a surprising bombshells for fans. Pascal revealed that Sony’s films about Venom as well as Black Cat and Silver Sable will be connected to Spider-Man‘s MCU romps. The producer goes on to explain Tom Holland may even show up in the features, but Feige’s stoney face seems less than pleased at the revelation.

Feige can be seen blinking in succession and taking a few swallows as Pascal talks about the spinoffs. In the past, the Marvel Studios president confirmed that none of Sony’s tie-ins would be connected to the MCU. Feige has stressed the features would be Sony projects in their entirety. However, given Pascal’s recent statements, fans are no longer sure who to believe in.

Naturally, the Internet has had a fun-filled day making GIFs of the awkward exchange. Sad Feige has since become the comic fandom’s go-to meme as it outpaces even Sad Affleck, and you can check out some of the meme’s best uses in the slides below:
