Thor makes a great sacrifice to prove himself worthy and is able to reclaim his hammer Mjolnir in the first Marvel Cinematic Universe Thor film, but next month it will be the person with the highest bid who will wield the mythical hammer.

As reported by Bleeding Cool, the Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction set for next month will feature the original Mjolnir prop from Thor. The hammer is expected to bring in between an estimated $25,000 and $40,000 and is considered one of the top items up for bid at the auction.

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor notably loses then reclaims the hammer in time to defeat the Destroyer in the 2011 film and Mjolnir has been an important prop in the MCU ever since. Having appeared in Avengers: Infinity War set photos and with Thor: Ragnarok in theaters in November, the popularity of the MCU films may cause the hammer’s final bid to exceed estimates.

Not sure you’re worthy to heft the mighty Mjolnir? The auction, taking place on September 26 in London, will feature over 300 auction lots. In addition to Mjolnir, bidders can try to bring home Star-Lord’s helmet from Guardians of the Galaxy, Ian McKellen’s Magneto helmet and tunic from X-Men and even Christopher Reeve’s Superman flying tunic from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.

The auction will be live-streamed online on the day of the auction, but fans wanting to see the hammer and other memorabilia in person will have the opportunity to. There will be a free exhibition open to the public at London’s BFI IMAX from September 7th until the 26th. More information on the auction and items up for bid can be found here.
