Most fans are familiar with the iconic image of Captain America hitting the leader of the Nazi movement square in the face, Adolf Hitler. It seems he isn’t the only one now that has taken that honor.

In the pages of America #1, America Chavez runs into her old pal Prodigy. He shows here a new invention he’s been working on in his spare time, a machine he calls the wayback. It allows you to travel across the multiverse but needs someone with specific powers to make it work. Enter Chavez, who jumps at the opportunity to try and find her parents.
Things don’t work out as planned, though, and she ends up in World War II Germany. After unwittingly helping out some American soldiers (grenades do not take priority over text messages apparently), a familiar face runs by her. That would be none other than Captain America, who mentions “we’ve got Hitler in our si..”. Before he can even get out the rest of the sentence, America responds “Wait, did you say Hitler?”, turns around, and decks the mad tyrant with an emphatic “Not on my watch, sucker!”
That punch might have just changed history, but only time will tell. You can view the spoiler images in the gallery, and make sure to check out ComicBook.com’s review of the debut issue. America #1 is written by Gabby Rivera with art by Joe Quinones.
