The official Facebook page for Avengers shared a video to promote Day of Giving, an event meant to raise money for anyone affected by Hurricane Harvey. The set video features plenty of faces as Nebula and Gamora are shown flanking Scott and Hope Van Dyne. However, it is Ant-Man who is drawing the most attention.
As you can see in the picture below, Ant-Man’s new suit is quite different from his first. The hero has added quite a bit of black to his costume, and its chest piece lacks some of the original suit’s detailing. The new look is more sleek than Scott’s first get-up, and it matches Hope’s streamlined Wasp costume.
Fans aren’t surprised to see that Ant-Man is getting an upgraded suit in Avengers 4; After all, plenty of the MCU’s heroes have gotten upgraded suits after a film or two. Ant-Man donned his first suit in his debut movie as well as Captain America: Civl War. There is no telling whether Ant-Man’s upgraded suit will come into play in either Avengers: Infinity War or Ant-Man and the Wasp, but fans can look forward to the updated look at least.
Ant-Man and the Wasp did begin filming this summer, so it is possible the hero will come into the suit in the sequel. The new outfit wouldn’t be the only one to debut in the film; Earlier this month, Evangeline Lilly shared a first-look at her Wasp suit from the film to commemorate Jack Kirby on what would’ve been his 100th birthday.
Ant-Man and the Wasp currently has a 3.89 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the ninth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers. Let us know how much you’re looking forward to Ant-Man and the Wasp by giving the film your own rating below.
