The Avengers: Infinity War trailer is chock-full of fun little insights about where The Avengers characters have come from, where they currently are, and where they may be headed. One of the more interesting (if not brief) moments in the trailer features Paul Bettany’s Vision, looking significantly different from the last time we saw him:

In his time on Earth since Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, Vision has clearly embraced the notion of his “humanity.” We see him taking on a more human form, apparently while cohabitating with Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, judging by the intimacy between them, seen above.
As for how Vision achieves this more human look? Well, we saw in Age of Ultron’s “Vision Birth” scene that the synthetic humanoid hero can alter his physical attributes like a shape-shifter, growing out his cape to better match Thor. It stands to reason, then, that Vision can affect things like his skin tone or hair growth, better mimicking the form of a human man in order to get closer to Wanda.
Vision’s quest for “humanity” and his relationship with Scarlet Witch have been major parts of the character’s Marvel Comics arc. What’s tragic about this scene in Infinity War is that it seems like a nice romantic ‘quiet before the storm,’ as Thanos and The Black Order will soon attack Vision in order to extract the Mind Stone Vision on his head.
