With Disney’s D23 Expo well under way at the Anaheim Convention Center, all sorts of goodies have surfaced throughout today. After Marvel Studios — a Disney subsidiary — shown a brief teaser of Avengers: Infinity War to a jam-packed room of fans, they unveiled life-sized statues of Thanos and his right-hand comrades: the Black Order.

Thanks to Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito, we now have confirmation that members that belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Black Order are, in fact, going to be the children of Thanos.
D’Esposito — a heavy proponent of Twitter — took to the microblogging app after the unveiling of the statues to share a picture of the group. Along with the picture, D’Esposito made sure to add “Children of Thanos revealed.”

Originally brought to light by MCU Exchange earlier this summer, there was heavy speculation circulating that instead of simply being generals leading the armies of Thanos, rather, they’d be the siblings of Nebula and Gamora.
The former of which, even teased the existence of additional adoptive children of Thanos in the events of Guardians of the Galaxy. If you think back, Nebula told Gamora in the midst of a fight sequence “You are a disappointment, sister. Out of all our siblings, I hate you least.”
The group of supervillains had included five members when they first appeared in Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers #8 (2013) — Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, and Supergiant. The last of those characters — Supergiant — was the only one to not be included in the statue unveiling at D23, perhaps showing that the character won’t be making the jump to the silver screen alongside his brothers and sisters in arms.
