When it comes to Disney Parks, heroes may be the next big thing. Earlier this year, the Guardians of the Galaxy opened its first theme park ride in California to huge queues. Disney may be limited with its Marvel attractions thanks to an old contract with Universal Studios, but Disneyland seems free to house some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. And, now, it looks like Disney Parks has filed a patent for an upcoming Captain Americaattraction.

Thanks to Digital Trends, netizens caught wind of the quiet patent application which Disney filmed. The submission is for an attraction which will put fans in the shoes of Captain America. The patent details a virtual reality attraction that allows park goers to throw the hero’s shield.

According to the patent, fans would be given a VR headset which they don upon a platform. They are then asked to wear a gauntlet which features railing that Captain America’s shield can slide on. When a guest tries to throw the shield as Captain America commands, the disc will physically slide down the gauntlet’s railing. Then, using a motion sensor, the VR headset will show fans how far the shield goes or what enemies it takes out.

The patent’s application specifically states the attraction’s technology is meant to be used in an “immersive storytelling environment.” You can check out its full description below:

“In one embodiment, the throwing apparatus is a toy device that permits the user to play the role of a superhero who uses the projectile to attack virtual or physical targets (e.g., toys) or defend against attacks from the targets or other players in an immersive storytelling environment.”

If the attraction gets approved, park goers will be able to experience how Captain America’s shield rebounds to the hero as he melees with villains. The VR outing could be the high-tech version of whack-a-mole with attendees looking to smack down wayward Hydra agents. In a way, the attraction seems to be like a stationary take on Disney’s Toy Story Mania, and park lovers will know how popular that ride has been.

For now, there is no official word on Disney Parks and its plans for a Captain America attraction. It isn’t surprising to hear the company is interested in developing its superhero offerings though. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is more successful than ever, and Disneyland’s Guardians of the Galaxy ride has been a smash hit. It was only a matter of time until the Avengers made themselves known as park pass holders.

You can check out the description of Disneyland’s Guardians of the Galaxy ride below:
