With the 100th anniversary of Jack Kirby‘s birth coming up in 2017, tributes to the King of Comics are everywhere, ranging from Marvel’s Monsters Unleashed to DC’s The Kamandi Challenge and indie projects like Kirby & Me.

Where can you get a fresh look at honest-to-God vintage Kirby artwork, though? Look no further than IDW Publishing’s Artist Edition program, where they’ll be releasing an oversized hardcover featuring a (larger-than-)life-sized look at Kirby’s Fantastic Four art.

“People have literally begged for an oversized Kirby Fantastic Four book,” said Artist’s Edition Editor Scott Dunbier. “And knowing the contents of this one…well, I don’t think they will be disappointed!”

Jack Kirby’s Fantastic Four World’s Greatest Artist’s Edition, which ships in July, will reprint the art from Fantastic Four #33, 45, 47, and 60, as well as one of the most impressive gallery sections ever to run in an Artist’s Edition, featuring 20 oversized Kirby Fantastic Four covers.

The book will clock in at 168 pages and measure 15″ x 22″ — the same size as Kirby’s original art, with inks by Joe Sinnott, among others.

“Certainly Kirby was great without me but I do feel that I added just that little extra that put him in a class by himself,” Sinnott recently told ComicBook.com during a conversation that reflected on that era of his career. He said that his favorite part of the work was “Being a part of some of the creation of such notable characters as Dr. Doom, the Silver Surfer, Galactus, the Mole Man, the Inhumans, Black Panther, etc.”

The comics themselves were written by Stan Lee during the pair’s legendary run on the world’s greatest comics magazine.

Look for pricing information when IDW’s solicitations make their way online tomorrow.
